Spicy Apple Jam
We really kicked up the heat on this sweet & savory jam. We cook down a combo of the three types of apples grown in the grove and add home-juiced apple cider, a bit of sugar, a splash of apple cider vinegar, and just enough dried crushed red pepper to make your taste buds sing. This jam makes excellent marinades and sauces for roasted or grilled pork, chicken or fish, and a little goes a long way!
Ingredients: apples, apple juice, sugar, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, pectin (dextrose, fruit pectin, citric acid, calcium ascorbate), dried crushed red pepper
How to use:
Add to Ruth Reichl's Dive of A Grilled Cheese
Make a dipping sauce for pot stickers or dumplings
Stir a tablespoon or two into roasted veggies right after they come out of the oven
